Private Investigator in Palm Beach County

Licensed, Local to the Corridor, and Realistic About Access

Palm Beach is by far the largest and most varied county we work. It contains one of the greatest concentrations of private wealth in the United States and, forty miles inland, some of the most economically pressed agricultural communities in Florida. It nearly doubles in population between summer and the winter season. Almost nothing that is true of Boca Raton is also true of Pahokee.

Investigating here means deciding which Palm Beach County you are actually working in, and planning for that one.

Why Palm Beach County Cases Come to Us

We are an hour up the road, not a national franchise. Our office is in Fort Pierce. Jupiter and Palm Beach Gardens are a short run down I-95, West Palm Beach an hour. You deal with the people doing the work.

We do not pretend gates are not there. The single most common unrealistic expectation in this county is that an investigator can simply get inside a guarded community. We cannot lawfully, and neither can anyone else. What we can do is build a picture from the lawful positions available, which in practice is usually what the evidence turns on.

We plan around the season instead of being surprised by it. The winter influx changes traffic, occupancy and routine across the whole coastal corridor. It can help a case or ruin one, and it needs to be in the plan from the start.

The Glades get the Glades approach. Belle Glade, Pahokee and South Bay are rural agricultural communities and are worked as such. Treating them as an extension of the coast is how firms get noticed on day one.

Licensed and accountable. Roberts Investigative Services holds Florida agency licence #A1600287, and our investigators hold their own Class C licences. That is verifiable through the state, and you should verify it — of anyone you consider hiring.

Communities We Cover

West Palm Beach, Boca Raton, Delray Beach, Boynton Beach, Palm Beach Gardens, Jupiter, Wellington, Royal Palm Beach, Lake Worth Beach, Riviera Beach, Belle Glade, Pahokee and South Bay. Every case is worked inside Chapter 493 and Florida Statute 934.03 — no wiretapping, no trespass, no pretexting into accounts. It is a narrower toolkit than clients sometimes expect, and it is why the resulting evidence holds up.

Your Questions Answered

Most people who call have never hired an investigator before. These are the questions that come up first.

Most of the addresses I care about are behind guard gates. What can you actually do?
A great deal, but not by entering under false pretences. Palm Beach County has an unusually high concentration of guarded country club and waterfront communities on private roads, where entry is logged and an uninvited investigator is trespassing. The lawful approach is to work the perimeter and the routine — the entry and exit points, the places a subject actually goes, the times they move — rather than the driveway. That is usually where the useful evidence is anyway. We will assess a specific address at the consultation and tell you honestly whether it is workable.
Where would a Palm Beach County case be heard?
Palm Beach is the whole of Florida's Fifteenth Judicial Circuit — it is one of the few single-county circuits in the state. The Main Judicial Complex is in downtown West Palm Beach, with branch courthouses serving the south county at Delray Beach, the north county at Palm Beach Gardens, and the Glades at Belle Glade. Which building a matter sits in affects filing and service logistics, and it is worth establishing early.
Does the season really change what is possible?
Substantially, more than in any other county we cover. Between roughly November and April the population rises sharply, traffic patterns change, and the equestrian circuit in Wellington brings a large temporary community with it. That extra volume can provide useful cover for surveillance. It also means a subject's winter routine may bear no resemblance to their summer one, so evidence gathered in one season does not necessarily describe the other — which matters if it is going to be relied on in a proceeding.
Do you cover the Glades as well as the coast?
Yes, and they are effectively a different county. Belle Glade, Pahokee and South Bay are inland agricultural communities with sugarcane, a small permanent population and rural roads — conditions closer to Okeechobee than to Boca Raton. Surveillance there requires the rural approach: greater standoff, fewer and better-chosen windows, and an acceptance that strangers are noticed. A firm that plans a Glades job the way it plans a Boca job will be spotted.
How far is Palm Beach County from your office?
Our office is in Fort Pierce, roughly an hour north of West Palm Beach on I-95, and rather less to Jupiter. Palm Beach is a county we work directly and regularly rather than one we visit. The far south of the county — Boca Raton and Delray Beach — is a longer run, and we will be straight with you about scheduling for early-morning coverage down there.
